Real World Benefits For Your Practice

"This extraction tool provides a higher probability of placing an immediate implant - saving my patient from more procedures."

Dr. Jedediah V. Huss

"You will love it! I would never have been able to extract that tooth with forceps, without removing facial bone."

Steven T. Cutbirth, DDS

"I have been using the Easy X-Trac System for several years, and have been extraordinarily pleased with this ingenious system."

Dr. Eric Weiss, DMD

"It is faster and less traumatic than a Periotome extraction and is indispensable for immediate dental implant placement in extraction sites."

Dennis A. Shanelec, DDS

Santa Barbara, CA

"Now, whenever we can use this system, we do so. It has become our favorite extraction tool. We are now more efficient and makes procedures more predictable."

Dr. Brian Toorani, DDS

Why It Was Invented

The Inventors:

The Easy X-Trac® System was originally developed by Dr. Hans-Peter Hornig and Dr. Thomas Offerman.

The Challenge:

To develop a new extraction technique for single and double-rooted teeth as a pre-implant procedure.  In most cases, an immediate or even delayed implantation without bone restoration was not possible. To reduce the risk of damage to the surrounding tissue, an "atraumatic" tooth extraction technique would be required.

The Solution:

Paying particular attention to the protection of all adjacent hard and soft tissue (eg. the buccal lamella in the maxilla), the Easy X-TRAC® System became a PATENTED method for extracting single and double-rooted teeth. It consists of 3 different sized drills and 3 different sized sets of extraction screws, along with a specially-designed extractor and protection plates, to lift the tooth out of the socket without any rotary or tilting movement.

Initial Results:

During their 3-year trial period, they were able to preserve the hard and soft tissue, leading to successful and immediate implant placement. This new extraction procedure only required a vertical motion to pull the tooth and safely dispersed the pressure of the extraction process on to adjacent teeth.

The Advantages:

  • Avoiding the widening the alveolus and minimizing the risk of damage to adjacent bone structures.

  • Replace the use of root elevators, forceps and even periotomes.

  • Eliminate all rotary and tilting movements to pull the teeth.

  • Save 5-7 months by avoiding bone restoration.

  • Able to perform immediate implantation after extraction.

Limitations:

  • Molars without a prior section

  • Severely curved roots

  • Teeth with extensive ankylosis

step 1.

Assessment & Planning

The foundation of any successful extraction and immediate implant placement begins with a thorough assessment. Use digital imaging tools to evaluate the tooth’s root structure, bone density, and any potential complications. Proper planning is key to a smooth extraction and successful implant placement.

step 2.

Using the Easy X-Tractor®

This patented system is designed to make extractions faster, less traumatic, and more predictable. Following our extensive guidelines ensures that the tooth is loosened in a controlled and measured manner. This reduces the risk of damage to surrounding bone and soft tissues, which is crucial for immediate implant success.

step 3.

Minimizing Trauma

One of the major advantages of the Easy X-Trac® system is its ability to minimize trauma. By avoiding excessive force and using a more controlled extraction technique, you preserve the integrity of the bone and soft tissue, creating a more suitable environment for an implant.

The secret to immediate implant placements

Imagine a dental tool that allows you to extract teeth with the least amount of tissue damage possible, and immediately place an implant.

That's what the Easy X-trac System is all about. Whether you’re a seasoned dentist or just starting out, this system will change the way you approach tooth extractions.

Trusted By Dentists Nationwide

"I have been using the Easy X-Trac System for several years, and have been extraordinarily pleased with this ingenious system...

Our goal at Periodontal & Implant Associates is to always minimize trauma during extractions. This is especially critical when managing the delicate adjacent soft tissue and thin bone often associated with anterior teeth. Minimally traumatic tooth removal is the the absolute key to achieving a spectacular esthetic result with anterior implants, because once the soft tissue (papillae or facial gingival marginal tissue) has been injured it is often quite difficult or impossible to adequately regain that structure or shape. The use of elevators and forceps is obviated when this system is employed . Biomimetic implant dentistry is a necessity - patients expect to have an implant restoration that is identical to their other teeth. It’s a elegant method to easily remove anterior teeth. I highly recommend it!."

Dr. Eric Weiss, DMD

He received both his D.M.D. and B.A. in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a residency in periodontics at Temple University. Here's How It Works

STEP 1.

Prepare the Root Canal

The set of 3 drills (1.1mm, 1.3 mm, 1.5mm) are used in succession from smallest (white) to largest (blue), to drill down into the root canal.

STEP 2.

Choose the Screw

Measure the root depth, then choose the correct-sized, self-cutting Easy X-Trac® Screw.

STEP 3.

Place the Screw

Ratchet the self-cutting Easy X-Trac® Screw into the root canal, with a clock-wise motion.

STEP 4.

Place the Protector & the Easy X-Tractor®

Position the Protector Plate and turn the Easy X-Tractor® handle.

STEP 5.

Remove the Easy X- Tractor®, Protector Plate, and the tooth.

STEP 6.

The Result: No trauma or swelling, and no damage to the buccal plate.

XT 140 L

Protector Plate - Left

This Protector Plate is used on the left side with quick set impression material to protect the adjacent teeth from damage. When the impression material is loaded in the tray and the tray is placed back into the mouth over the screw, the tray should ideally create a 90 degree angle from the screw by lining up the tray with the line on the screw. This will help to create leverage needed for the extractor to pull the root our of the socket.
